Mom and pups Sunday May 20, 2007 I have been picking up and snuggling with both puppies many times each day. They are growing well and Jazz is a wonderful mom.
Today 5/23/07 I took the female puppy to the vet to have her dew claws removed. She weighed in at 2.1 lbs. I carried her in a gallon Schwans ice cream bucket. There is a wash cloth in the bottom. Gone very soon will be the days the pups are this small. They grow very, very fast. 5/26/07. The puppies are not doing much at this time. They eat and sleep. But they sure are growing rapidly. I keep expecting to see their eyes opening but I know it is too soon yet. I pick each puppy up several times a day, hold them and touch them all over. Two very sweet young ladies come over to socialize the pups on Saturday. I got several photos and will start taking them off the camera. They will be posted below.
In this photo, mom Jazz watches her pups very closely as they are held by the girls. Also, the little buckling on the left feels that he needs to keep watch on things too. Jazz loves being in the barn with her pups and the goats. |
