I have so many photos of Yasemin that If you click on the links below you can see more photos.  It takes a long time for the pages to load but they are worth the wait.

To date Yasemin has been the dam of puppies with Penn Hipp ratings of EXCELLENT.  She is the dam of Misty Acres Aslan which holds the BEST hip scores of ANY Kangal to date male or female.  Misty Acres Aslan's Penn Hipp scores are:

.22 left hip & .22 right hip - Excellent hips.

Quoted from the report 2007 "your animal's hips are tighter than approx 100% of this group of animals - alternatively 0% of the group has tighter hips than your animal."

Yasemin doing what she likes best & was bred to do and has done all her life.  She is working Shetland Sheep & Nubian bucks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   She would much rather be out working livestock than anything else in the world.

Yasemin with her sheep - 10/14/07.

Photos 10/14/07.  During breeding season the bucks get very smelly.  This helps throw the does into heat to be bred.  I can't say it any other way but the boys REALLY STINK !!!!!!!!!!!!  UGH !!!!!!!!!!!

One method the boys use is to wet themselves all over their faces and the backs of their front legs.  Their beards are usually drenched and dripping wet.  Ugh, I know but it is a fact.  Also, what can occur if they wet their front legs too much and too often is they can get urine scald.  That is a real mess to say the least.

What is shown in the photos above is this.  The bucks line up (like at a car wash)  one at a time and let Yasemin groom them so they don't get sore legs.  She licks, washes, and grooms them up.  She deserves a medal as that has to be one very nasty job.

In the photo on your left you will see the larger buck with a smaller bucks head behind him looking the other direction.  The second buck is waiting for his turn.

In the photo on your right, if you look very closely, you will see that the buck even has lifted his left front leg so that Yasemin can lick clean the exact spots he wants to have done.  I watch this many times and it is amazing as the bucks zone out and almost fall over asleep when she does this for them.

Yasemin is such a good gal.  She is well loved and trusted by the livestock she guards just as her daughter Inca is.

Yasemin (on left) and her daughter Inca (on right) working sheep as they do each day of their lives 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Photo taken 10/16/06.

I love these three photos taken 6/24/06.  In the first photo (top left) Yasemin is in a hut along with 14 Shetland Sheep and one Nubian Goat Buck.    In the second photo (top right) some of the sheep have moved off to the sides of the hut and you can just see Yasemin on your left between the legs of the two brown sheep.  In the last photo (bottom) the sheep have moved yet again and there is Yasemin where she was all along.  If you look to the very back of the hut you can see the Nubian bucks white belt across his middle.  The sheep love and trust her.  Oh yes, the buck does too :)
