Dortmund Germany - Steigenberger Hotel

This photo was taken in front of the Steigenberger Hotel.  On the left of the photo is Anne (blue jacket) and her group and dogs from France.  Mme Anne Voiry has Du Bonnie Blue Flag Kangals in France.  The 4 Kangals on the left of the photo are her dogs.

The male Kangal on the right and to the front is Misty Acres Zeki.   His owner Marcella (right front) is holding him.  Marcella is from Prague, Czech Republic.

Ron Grill from Wild Rose Kangals in Canada is the man taking a photo.  The woman walking on the sidewalk toward the dogs is Cat from Chicago.

In this photo, Marcella holding Misty Acres Zeki.  Zeki is a puppy from Doga Farms Lokum and Kahraman of Misty Acres.  Onur Kanli is the man petting Zeki and the breeder of Doga Farms Lokum.  Onur is from Turkey.

         I just love these two photos.  Aren't the Kangals just precious?  This is Annes group from France and their Kangal dogs.

This is a photo of (left to right) Marcella's friend that came with her from Prague, Marcella, Ed Luthy from Misty Acres (Michigan), and Misty Acres Zeki owned by Marcella.  

This photo brings tears to my eyes.  It is the very first moment that I met Elisabeth in person.  We had been in touch by e-mail for around 6 years.  I never dreamed that I would actually have the honor of meeting her in person.  What a moment.  There are just no words.  

Eliasbeth is such a kind, wonderful, giving, woman with a energetic spirit, a heart as big as the world, and a soul that belongs to the Kangal.  The welfare of the Kangal is in every breath she takes.

Left to right is Cat Behan (Chicago USA) sitting at the table, Onur Kanli (Turkey), Ron Grill (Canada), myself (Michigan USA) in the light shirt in the fore with Elisabeth (Germany) in the red shirt and blue vest.  The man from England holding Elisabeth's Python Jr is Ray White.  His affix is Cazibe and his Kangal pups were from Kamish Yesim (Jade) to Mike Stedman's Squash.  Ray's first dog was Kamish Nazik, litter sister out of Sheila's Ski (Kamish Mirasci).

This photo was taken in the hotel lobby.  The bar is to your left and the elevator is behind Python Jr. with the mirrored glass.  The hotels in Germany allow dogs in the hotel, lobby, dinning rooms, elevators, and in the rooms as well.  The hotels are very, very clean.  Wonderful custom.

This photo is of Ariane Kumpers (Germany) and her two dogs.  Ariane is in the light blue jacket.  Anne (France) is on the left in the dark blue jacket and Elisabeth (Germany) is checking in at the counter.  

This photo is of Ariane (left) and her dogs and Cat Behan from Chicago (right).  Ariane does man trailing with her Kangal dog and is Cat's mentor for the tracking/trailing sport.  They have been keeping in touch by post.  Cat was excited to finally meet Ariane in person at this wonderful event.

As folks were arriving they began to take their dogs for a walk for a little before supper exercise.  The weather could not have cooperated better for the International Kangal Club weekend.  It was sunny almost all weekend.  New leaves were on the trees, sweet smelling flowers were in bloom, and the air smelled fresh & clean.
