Welcome to the Great Lakes Kangal club. On January 10, 2008 the GLKC officially became a recognized independent (stand alone), regional, single breed Kangal Dog Club affiliated with the United Kennel Club.
The GLKC Regional Kangal club is dedicated to the enjoyment and preservation of the Turkish Kangal Dog, a flock guardian from the Sivas-Kangal region of Turkey. Kangal Dogs are beautiful, powerful, and loyal. Kangal Dogs are considered a Turkish National Treasure.
