This photo shows an example of roving.  The three roving balls in the back are natural colors from my Shetland sheep - black, white, light brown.  The other balls of roving are hand dyed.  Photo 4/1/08.

Raw fleece sells for $10.00 a pound.

Roving that is not dyed (natural colors) sells for $1.00 an ounce.  Dyed roving sells for $2.00 an ounce.

Handspun yarn sells for  a yard.
