Since 1997, Ed & I have had a special interest in Dr. Marker's Cheetah Conservation project as one of our first Anatolian Shepherd dogs (Karli) was related to Flintis who was the turning point for Dr. Marker's working dog project. Flintis was featured in the June 2000 issue of the Readers Digest. Flintis is the most famous livestock guardian dog in Namibia, noted for successfully defending his herd of goats and lambs against attacking baboons. On April 6, 2008 Ed and I attended the First Cheetah
Conservation Race in Chicago, Illinois and brought some of our Pureberd Turkish
Kangals to show people an actual living, breathing, conservation method and
answer many questions that were asked. Please click the buttons at the
left for race day memories. |
