During the year of 2004, we showed our working Kangal dogs for socialization purposes.  This was a great opportunity to educate folks about the Kangal breed.

Our dogs were taken from the fields where the were working livestock 24/7, cleaned up, and taken to the show.  They returned home each night to guard their livestock once again.

Our show season started out by attending the Kangal Dog Club of America's National Specialty which was held in conjunction with the UKC Premier.  Our Yasemin took Best of Breed at the KDCA Specialty in competition with other Kangals in attendance from across the USA.

The UKC annual Premier was held that weekend as well and our dogs continued to compete with Kangals from all across the USA at this show.  Our Kangals did very well and we are very proud of them.  We finished two Champions in this competition as can be seen by clicking the UKC Premier button.

The show season went very well and by the time we were done we had finished off 4 Champions and 1 Grand ChampionWe also earned points toward Grand Champion wins on some of our other dogs that were show.

We had all 4 of our Kangals shown in 2004 be in the UKC Top Ten list that year as well with GRCH Kaan of Misty Acres as UKC Top Ten number one position and his sister CH Yasemin of Misty Acres in number two position of the Top Ten for 2004..

We were told by one very well respected judge during this show season that we should "promote Yasemin in every way" as "she is the most exceptional bitch" this judge had ever seen.  We were told by several other judges that Yasemin's movement was "like liquid mercury", she "moved like silk" and that "her movement was something to behold - art in motion."

We were very pleased by the comments made by these judges, but chose not to promote her. We are indeed very proud of Yasemin.  Not only is she exceptional in her working ability & temperament, but she excels in conformation & movement too.

Yasemin is first and foremost a livestock guardian dog.  That is what we are dedicated to, the preservation of the working Kangal coupled with excellent temperament and exceptional conformation.
